Beginner Trader

After get some loss in stock exchange ..

I realize i must have trading plane to get profit  ..

This some trading plan which i think :

• When I buy , i must be sure it won’t drop again
• My tolerance for cut loss is 2 % , so i will sell the stocks if it has reached 2 % loss
• I will sell my stocks immediately if it reached 5 % in one day , because it will drop quickly

I hope i have made best decision today ..

Because i have bought ISAT.JK today at 6450 … My target Price is 6600 … and My Cut Lost Price is 6300 ..

(ISAT.JK: 4350 +6.10%, 52wk: 3950 - 9550)

I have sold ISAT at 10 June 2008 at price 6800 ..

I have not disciplined , because i didn’t do cut loss when it drop bellow 6300 to 5650 .. so i get nyangkut for almost 1 month .. luckyly there is a miracle, because ISAT is bought by QTEL … i won’t hope miracle anymore and a beginner luck… I must have discipline

I have made wrong decison to buy BMRI.JK at 17 April 2008 ..

Because the stock price has not moved .

So i wait untill it goes up ..

otherwise i will cut lost it ..

because cut loss is the hardest way but it’s more wise than lose my money ..

I hope it will be become best decision

• Stochastick buy and sell signal
• RSI buy and sell signal
• MACD buy and sell signal
• Bollinger Band buy and sell signal
• Moving Average Golden or Dead Cross
• Price Volume breakout
• Consolidation breakout
• Candlesticks Top/Bottom reversal

Follow the trend means the best time to buy is in bullish situation and the best time to sell is when bearish. Bullish can be detected when Short MA > Medium MA > Long MA and bearish happen when Short MA<Med MA<Long MA

Everything can be done using metastock or amibroker. Just see the trends and predict it’s perfect or not ..

Stock Quote Charts is important tools for you to see the pattern of the chart .

It’s very useful for the trader to make decision to buy or sell stocks ..

There are a lot of tools out there which provide this information ..

But many of them are not free and very expensive for the beginners …

Actually there are tools  which you can use to see the stock patterns ..

It has delayed time but it’s very usefull for beginner to understand the  meaning of tehnical analysis using stock quote  charts ..

Yahoo Finance has provided this information freely …

Just type the stock in your country in the http://finance.yahoo.com

For example TLKM because it’s indonesia it must added .JK so it’s like TLKM.JK

Just browse to yahoo finance and see all the stock pattern from 3 months , 6 months and 1 years …

Another tools to see stock is using Reuters …
